Objective

This workshop conceptualizes a method to determine the obsolescence of natural gas engine-compressor trains in gas and crude production, and details the procedure to obtain numeric indicators.

It also presents illustrative results obtained in existing plants in eastern Venezuela.

Applications:

To identify the attributes that affect machine systems in their obsolescence level, and how to deal with it

To be in a position to evaluate elder compressor stations in order to take critical decisions considering various options as: repair, upgrade, revamp enhance, discard or replace
